Killa Kemba Leads UCONN into Final Four. VCU, Kentucky, Butler Join

The Final Four is set!! And you could not have two more contrasting match-ups. In the “Cinderella” Final, VCU and Butler will match-up in semi-final that no one could have predicted. And in the “Established School” Final, Kentucky will take on Kemba Walker UCONN. Two absolutely great match-ups.

In the VCU-Butler game, it is all about Butler keeping their composure, which is something they are professionals at by this stage. They are probably the most professional program out of the four teams that remain. Brad Stevens, if he didn’t prove it last year, has cemented himself as the best young coach in the game. At the age of 35, he is leading Butler to consecutive Final Fours. I love Butler in this match-up. They are hungry for a championship after coming inches from it last year. Matt Howard and Shelvin Mack have been a very deadly combo. I just think they will not take VCU for granted. They will be ready to play, unlike Kansas was yesterday.

In the other Final Four game, I really like UCONN. They are the only team from my bracket’s Final Four that didn’t break my heart. Kemba Walker has been great, the player of the tournament now that Jimmer is out. Even with only 20 points on Saturday night, his ability to handle the basketball and make great passes was essential. I do not think Kentucky can guard him. DeAndre Liggins has been their best perimeter defender in the tournament, and he (or whoever draws Kemba) is going to have to have the game of his life on Saturday.

At the end of the day, I think we’ll be seeing Butler and UCONN playing on Monday night.

Ps. I could have sworn I posted this when I wrote it, which was on Monday. I guess it never made it. Doesn’t really matter in the end. Have fun with the basketball this weekend!!
